Kinfolk who went on to success in politics. (Not that politics is much of a successful business!) Yet, those who entered the field became household names in their respective positions.
Former Senator Jesse Helms (R-NC) served in the United States Navy during WWII. Jesse is the 2nd sailor from left. Barbara Lee had a special phone call one Christmas. It was from Jesse Helms, who died not long after the call. "If there is anything you ever need, just call me." Barbara Lee remembers a kind man, and outstanding senator, who did everything he could for his constiuents, but also for our POW/MIA. While the establishment was usually against him, making it difficult for him to accomplish all he set out to do, Jesse persevered to the fullest. Jesse had the goods on alot of people over the years, and would his information find it's way to the public, many lives would be altered forever.
