February 1, 1968 - January 12, 2023

A public funeral will be held to honor Lisa Marie on Sunday, January 22nd, beginning at 9am on the front lawn at Graceland.
There is not much one can say about Lisa Marie Presley and this is because her life can be summed up in only a few words: tragic. Born on February 1, 1968, the only child of Priscilla and Elvis Presley, Lisa Marie came into the world as a Princess, however, as she grew into the fairy tale existence that comes with being the daughter of the King of Rock and Roll, a man whom forever changed the history of music, Lisa Marie began to feel the overwhelming nature that consumes public and professional celebrity.
Her childhood years were marred by her parent's divorce and living life in two separate worlds, one with her mom, the other with her dad, followed by the untimely death of her father when she was nine. From there, she continued to endure suffering when a boyfriend of her mother sexually abused the 11 year old girl.

Most of us can never imagine the pain and suffering Lisa Marie had undergone. Elvis' baby girl lived in the shadow of her father, yet tried to escape the constant comparisons between father and daughter by branching out on her own as a rock singer whose songs were far removed from those of Elvis. With a beautiful voice in her own right, Lisa Marie chose a harder path in music, getting involved also in the drug culture which quite often accompanies the strenuous and debilitating workload given to success.
Through four marriages, drug addictions, indebtedness, and misery, her blessings could be counted in her children; four of them, three girls and a boy whom she adored. Lisa Marie lived, then, for her children: Riley, Benjamin, and twins Harper and Finley. striving to protect them from both society and public scrutiny. She managed well to keep her children out of the limelight while they were growing up, protecting them with a fierceness that began to weigh on her immensely when compliled with other difficulties mounting in her young life. Though she kept her children close and showered them with all her love and might, she could not prevent her only son, Benjamin Storm Keough, from taking his own life due to his own struggles with depression. When he died, he took his mother with him. Lisa Marie would never recover. Other than living for her three girls, her life was over. Her health was called into question as Benjamin's permanent absence haunted her for over two years.

Lisa Marie's troubles never subsided. Her remaining days were spent confined mainly to her home(s) as she continued to suffer and despair over the losses of both her father and her son. Sadly, she was a lost soul feeling no hope of a promising future.
A former Scientologist, Lisa Marie separated from the cult which had been part of the oppression she was feeling. Hopefully, she found God once again, in the manner of her father. Continue to pray for Lisa Marie, that her soul will find peace and light. When we die, the realization of our previous troubles remain with us and we must work through them through prayer before we can achieve the goal of Heaven. So, we must pray for Lisa Marie. She deserves all of our love and prayers as does her beloved son and our beloved Elvis.
Our heartfelt prayers also go out to Priscilla, Riley, Harper and Finley, that their pain and suffering will one day transcend into fond memories of a precious, loved and adored mother and daughter.

God rest your soul, Lisa Marie Presley. May the peace that eluded you on earth come to you in the hereafter. and may you be welcomed home by your father and son, and all your departed family. No more will you be lonely for you now belong to God.
