Elvis' Kin Share Their Memories of Elvis...

Many of us knew and loved Elvis. Not all of us were found spending days at Graceland for many lived a good distance away and were not able to enjoy such pleasures outside of their own home lives. Still, Elvis somehow found kinfolk across the miles and kept in touch on a regular basis, when he could. Others spent alot of time at Graceland, and with Elvis in person, and following are some of those stories we, gladly, share with you.

Ronnie Fleetwood Honored Elvis...

Ronnie FleetwoodRonnie Fleetwood was kin to Barbara Lee, Mackey, and many. He was kin to Elvis, too, and he knew Elvis...like a book...perhaps more than most.

Ronnie, like a few of us, had spent many years on the internet, where he was well known and for "keeping an eye on" followers of Elvis and spouting out to the frauds. Like E, Ronnie had a temper and a tongue that could lash out across several websites at once. Yes; he was feared and tough. He was a staunch supporter of Elvis' memory and legacy, and he was one Elvis would have trusted with his life. Ronnie was also a singer; not a tribute artist, but he could sing, close enough to Elvis more than any tribute artist ever could do.

Ronnie Fleetwood, like Elvis, was one-of-a-kind. He may have been Elvis' greatest fan. He sure was his staunchest defender! The online Elvis World met their match in Ronnie Fleetwood, and his cousin, Barbara Lee, was right there with him going after the frauds, the mockers, and those desecrating the name and person of Elvis Presley.

The Frauds...

For countless years following Elvis' death, hordes of Presley wannabes cropped up over the internet, all claiming to be children, or kin, of Elvis. Now, it is not impossible that Elvis may have had illegitimate children, however, Elvis owned up to his deeds, knowing all along that the attention given him by young, beautiful women could have caused a few slip-ups. Elvis would have been the first to acknowledge truth, and those who belonged to him. To date, only one child stands out as a possible illegitimate child of Elvis Presley, for this child, a boy, was known to have visited and played at Graceland, and had even stated that Priscilla knew him very well. Ronnie was very much aware of this person and seems to have trusted him.

Together, Ronnie and Barbara Lee tracked the moves of Jerry Presley, known Elvis impersonator and very distant cousin who claimed, falsely, to be a grandchild of Rosella Presley, thereby making himself Elvis' second cousin. The extreme lengths gone to by this impersonator, including having himself inserted into a family book wherein not one person in Rosella's family had ever heard of Jerry Presley. His actions have been laughable at most, although the very sight of Jerry on the net, particularly Facebook, infuriated Ronnie, and Barbara Lee called out the book, which was published, as a fraud.

Whom Ronnie did not trust to be a truthful Presley heir, is Eliza Presley, the woman who has, for years, claimed that Vernon Presley was her father and Elvis, her brother. Do not believe it, kin fans! Eliza Presley is not a Presley heir, and, apparently, seems to be back in circulation again. The story of Eliza Presley was resolved years ago with the truth; that being that she came out of nowhere and befriended Elvis' cousin, Donna Pritchett (Presley). The two schemed together to create another Presley "heir," and it was Donna who is claimed to have lent her hairbrush to Eliza for the purpose of submitting DNA. The DNA proving Eliza's claim to Vernon Presley is false, as the DNA belongs to Donna Presley. Apparently, this is not the first time the Pritchett girls have helped others "prove" kinship to Elvis Presley. Ronnie and Barbara Lee stood their ground in defense of Elvis, and Barbara Lee will continue to be a "watcher in the wood," so to speak, her beloved partner no longer with us.

Sadly, Ronnie Fleetwood passed away on February 24, 2021. He was a cousin, a dear friend, a "brother." His special seat on Paltalk can never be filled. He is missed by the many who knew him and appreciated his gruff style when it came to defending Elvis, and his awesome voice. Ronnie Fleetwood was a true cowboy personified. He dressed the part, he lived the part.

Read Ronnie's comment here... When the petition failed to get enough votes, Ronnie went above and beyond and the rest is history! It was President Donald J. Trump who awarded Elvis the Medal of Freedom, and you can be sure Elvis would have accepted it without reservation!

Ronnie loved the Kin of Rock and Roll site and enjoyed having some input in it. It was he who suggested a piece on Tammy Baiter Switzer, the young girl who was run down by a car in front of Graceland. Ronnie contacted Tammy and kept in touch with her, moved by her story and by the fact that Vernon Presley had paid all of her medical bills.

Thank you, Ronnie! God Bless you always. You were more of an inspiration than you will ever know to the "Kin of Rock and Roll." Just as sure as Elvis is singing with angels, it is certain that Elvis will be there with you as you now join the angelic choir. May God grant you both eternal peace with the Lord.
